About me
I am a climate and community activist, educator and artist with 40 years’ experience of making projects that celebrate alternative views of the world, hidden histories and places and people that have been under-valued.
Starting in the world of architecture, I developed independent projects alongside key positions at leading organisations including the Arts Council, RIBA and the Architecture Foundation. I also lecture and teach at a number of architecture schools and advocate for community planning and power.
My own process-driven art practice responds to my love of the sea and wild swimming, nature and the impact of climate crisis. Increasingly it also reflects my experience of the menopause as a time of reorienation, anger, and empowerment.
Over my career, the gentle anarchism of writer Colin Ward has steered my thinking and practice.
